A shoot day, annotated
What we run on a shoot day.
- 01
Camera & G/E
Camera package, grip, and electric from vetted rental houses. Dolly and track laid, the overhead rig cleared and secured, generator sited and cabled to distribution.
- 02
Talent & background
Casting support and background wrangling, work permits and immigration for incoming cast, chaperones and on-set welfare.
- 03
Locations & permitting
Location agreements signed, film permits and police notification filed, residents and vendors notified. This street is lit at 2am because the paperwork was done.
- 04
Video village
Monitors, wireless video, and comms for the director and the client, powered off the generator and covered against the weather.
- 05
Unit base & transport
Trucks, cast holding, power distribution, and catering, with company moves timed so base is standing before crew call.
Incentives
Most of the region pays cash back.
Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia each pay a cash rebate on what a production spends locally. Each runs on its own terms, minimums, and lead times, and each has to be registered before the spending starts.
We handle that end of it: the filing, the documentation through the shoot, and the audit at the end, so the rate you were quoted is the rate you collect.
